Standards
Lawful. Safe. Serious.
A society is only as good as the standard it keeps. Here is ours, stated plainly.
We are not a militia.
Paratus Society is a lawful, professional preparedness society. We are not a militia, not a paramilitary group, and not a political organization. We train people to protect and help — their families, their neighbors, and themselves — within the law, every time.
Code of conduct
Safety first, always
Every session runs to professional safety standards. A member who will not train safely does not train with us.
Lawful in everything
We operate fully within the law. Nothing we teach or do is intended to evade, replace or oppose lawful authority.
Respect and discipline
We hold ourselves to the conduct of professionals — respectful, disciplined, and accountable to one another.
Service over ego
The point is to be useful to our families and neighbors. Skill is for service, not for show.
Vetting
Everyone is vetted. The process includes an application, an interview, and — for membership — references, consent to a background check, and agreement to the code of conduct. We would rather grow slowly and keep the standard than grow fast and lose it.
Our full standards and privacy language are being finalized with legal counsel and will be published here before membership opens.
Step forward.
The founding phase decides who builds this. Instructors apply to the Founding Cadre; everyone else can request an invitation for when membership opens.
